The Aristocats Cat Club
|
 |
Welcome to the Aristocats, a UK all-breed cat club
affiliated to FIFe, with members all over the UK. We are full
members of Felis Britannica, the UK representative of FIFe, and as such
can perform all the administrative functions required by our members, eg
cat registration, litter registration, title validations, etc.
We hope you will enjoy looking
round the site and if you like what you see and agree with our objectives,
you'd be welcome to join us!
The Aristocats Club Committee

"Your cat will never threaten
your popularity by barking at three in the morning. He won't attack the
mailman or eat the drapes, although he may climb the drapes to see how the
room looks from the ceiling."

What's new on the site:
May
2009
-
This month's featured
breeder profile is Ross Davies of Burnthwaites Siamese,
Orientals & Seychellois - check him and his cats out on the Breeders

results of the Market Harborough show to release, but being pretty sure of
the BIS winners we have got the Winners Galleries for you - check
them out starting on the Show Galleries page!
-
We have two new titles on the
Roll of Honour page, and rather unusual ones, at
that!
-
There are several new entries on
the Show Brags page, too!
|
Calling all
Members!
We now have several pages where we invite members to either make
contributions, or just send in details of their cats that have successes
of one sort or another, so if you are a member and have entries for any of
the following, please do tell me
about it/them and see your cat's name up in lights! ...
well, in coloured fonts, anyway!
Roll of honour
- cats that win top titles (EC/SC, EP/SP, DM, DSM, DVM, WW or JW)
FB Points Awards - cats that are
mentioned in the annual winners lists
Show
Brags - cats that have won BIS/BOX at any FIFe show
Members Stories - if you have an
interesting cat-related story to tell - tell us!
And, of course, to all our breeder members - make sure you are listed on
our
Breeders' List
and that your available kittens are listed on the Kittens List, too! |
April
2009
The reason for the delay to
the monthly update was that I was hoping to be able to include the
results of the Aristocats show at Market Harborough, but unfortunately I
haven't been able to get so much as an answer to my messages, let alone
the requested results. I presume there must be a problem but I
can't say what since I haven't the faintest idea! I will of course
include them next month, instead (assuming they're available by then!).
-
Have a look at our
featured breeder profile for this month on the
breeders' profiles page - Eric and
Margaret Moss of Wattswoodkats Maine Coons, owners and
breeders of one of the top winners in the Felis Brtitannica Points
Awards 2008.
-
And talking about the
points awards, check out the Aristocats winners of these (that we
know about), on our FB Points Awards
page!
-
The News
page has been updated ...
-
... we also have new entries
on the Roll of Honour page ...
-
... and there are several on
the Show Brags page, too!
March
2009
-

whose heartwarming story about her girl Annie is featured on the

the
show brags page, too ...
-
Otherwise it's been a pretty
quiet month!
February

This month's featured
breeder profile is Helen
Dunn & Brenda Evans of Elmcoon Maine Coons - check them out on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
We also have some
wonderful news on the Roll of Honour page, so
great that it's on the News page, too! Check them
all out for details!

news page, too - get your request in soon if you want
to go!
January 2009

Details of our 2009 shows are
now available on the show info page,
including the schedules and entry forms - make sure you get your entries
in well in time, the first is less than three months away!!
-
There's a new addition on the
show info page, too - a summary sheet that
both you and the entry clerk can use to check you've put everything in
and paid the right fee! Check it out!
-
This month's featured breeder is
Linda Varney, who not only breeds British Shorthairs under the
Pawsawyle name but has a boarding cattery and rescue centre, too -
you can find out all about her and her several hundred cats and other animals on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
We also have new entries on
the roll of honour and
show brags pages! Check them out for details.
December 2008

on the News page, which you probably know
already, but if anyone can supply the requested details I'd be grateful!
November 2008
-
This month's featured breeder is
Lynne Geary of Lyndongraey Maine Coons & Siberians - and you can read
all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
We also have a new entry on
the roll of honour - not a new title, but one that's only just been
brought to our attention! Check out the Roll of
Honour page for details!
October 2008
-
Due to a technical hitch the
person who we intended to be this month's featured breeder is now going
to be a future month's feature - and since I didn't realise this was
going to happen until the very last minute, I had to fall back on my
emergency profile - of me! So - this month's featured breeder is
Beryl McMillan of Jehozacat Maine Coons - and you can read
all about me and my cats on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
Otherwise a very quiet month
- a bit of news about changes in qualifying for the Winners Show on the
News page, and that's about it, I think!
September
2008
-
A couple of new entries on
the Roll of Honour this month - one of them a relatively rare achievement
(and by a very popular cat!)! Go check them out on the
Roll of Honour page!
-
I'll give you a clue - Lynne
Geary's 'Siberian Story' on the Members' stories
page has also been updated!
-
We also have quite a few more
BIS-winning cats on the Show Brags
page - some new, some not so new; do have a peruse!

you can find out all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
August 2008

story of Annie the Siberian, on the
Members' stories page? Well, there's an update on there now -
do go and have a look, it's good news, honestly!
-
Our profile this month is on Anne
Cullen and her Bhanacoyne Maine Coons - check them out on the Breeders
Profiles page.
July 2008
-
Apologies having been made re the
Market Harborough results, they are now back on the show information page -
and have been joined by the results of the Newbury show. Also apologies to Laura Smith, owner
of the lovely Sphynx kitten Baldesque Just a Gigolo, for the fact that we
failed to list him as Best in Category III on the Sunday at Market
Harborough! This has now been corrected.
-
The
Newbury Winners Gallery
has had to be compiled from a combination of previous pictures of the cats by Bob Fox and photos
taken by me during the BIS lineup, since Bob was unfortunately not able to
attend the show at all. This makes it perhaps more susceptible than usual
to possible errors in matching pics to cats, so if you spot a pic that's not the
cat it says it is, please do let me know immediately!
-
Our profile this month is on Jan
Fagg and her Amilynd Devon Rex & Selkirk Rex - check them out on the Breeders
Profiles page.
June 2008
-
Apologies re the results of the
Market Harborough show - they were briefly available here, but FB requested
they were removed while some queries were sorted. However, as soon as we're
given the go ahead to display them they'll be back up here
-
The new Show
Brags page is now up and running - do you have a cat that has won BIS/BOX at
a FIFe show? Tell us about it, send us a pic (preferably one of the end of
show pics Bob Fox does, with the cat and his/her prizes!) and we'll put them in!
-
We have a new, and very moving, story
on the members' stories page; Denise Burn of
Sapphirensteel Siberians tells us all about the recent traumatic events in her
cat Annie's life.
-
This month's featured breeder is
Margaret McCrirrick of Cathmawr Maine Coons, and a committee member
of Aristocats -
you can find out all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
May 2008
-
There's an update to the news release
about the FB Points Awards Winners on the News
page - don't get too excited, like everyone else we're still waiting for the
full list of winners, but we *do* have the other major winners listed along with
the Overall Winner, the gorgeous Taurus Goloubchik.
-
And following on from that, we have a
new page on the site - dedicated to honouring those Aristocats' members' cats
that are winners in the FB Points Awards - they don't have to be the top
ones, but if your cat has made it into the top ten in any of the various
categories/groups (and you know about it yet!), then please do tell me
about it, with a pic, and we'll put your cat up too! This includes the
previous years, too - I'll happily add sections for them if members would like
to see their cats on there!
-
Sheila Beevers of Topmarx
British Shorthairs is our featured breeder this month -
you can find out all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
-
Also, our Apr07 profile on Jane Lord at
Jamcusa has been updated.
April 2008
-
Check out the News
page - we don't have full details of the results of the 2007 Annual Points
Awards yet, but we do know that, the Overall Winner is ... well, you'll just
have to go to the News page and see, won't you?!
Needless to say, if you are the proud owner of a winner in any of the
categories, please do tell me
about it - we'll be happy to include your cat, too!
-
We've a new story on the
Member's Stories page, too - all about Vassiliy the
Siberian, and how he came to be here in England. Don't forget, if you've got a
special story to tell, about a special day, a special cat or just something you
want to tell us, do tell me
about it and I'll put it in!
-
Our featured breeder this month is
Aristocats very own committee member and Show Manager, John Cunningham of
Pr-n-Kmt Abyssinians -
read all about him and his cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
March 2008
-
We have two new EPs on the
Roll of Honour page - not newly gained, but only just
included! They both belong to member Lynne Geary of Lyndongraey -
congratulations on your lovely cats, Lynne!

lots of side classes, with cash prizes for those with enough entries (up to
£600 in total!) - so don't forget to enter as many as you can along with
your main entry! Details on the schedule and on our
News page.
-
We've a new story on the
Member's Stories page - a lovely show report
by Margo the Ragdoll, I'm sure you'll love it as I did (and she certainly
deserves to be proud of herself, too)! Don't forget, if you've got a
special story to tell, about a special day, a special cat or just something you
want to tell us, do tell me
about it and I'll put it in!
-
Our featured breeder this month is a
new breeder, Julie Stanton of Rustiblu Birmans & Maine Coons -
read all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
-
We're still waiting for the next
Newest Honouree on the Roll of Honour - I'm still hopeful of getting
the details of our less common one, but if any member has a new European Champion
or European Premier (or DSM, DM, WW or JW!!)
please do tell me about it - with date
of attainment and a picture, of course!
December
2007
-
We have a new page on the site -
The FIFe Show Diary! As many details of the next couple of years'
shows as are known at this time, including which judges will be there and links
to the clubs' sites for further information. Update, May 2008:
unfortunately it proved too difficult to keep this page up to date, so rather
than have an out-of-date page on the site we've had to remove it entirely.
-
Anita Price of NoCoatOn
Sphynx is our featured breeder this month - read all about her and her cats at
Breeders Profiles.
-
Yet another new top title for an
Aristocat cat this month - and one that doesn't happen very
often, too! Unfortunately I didn't get the final details through in time
for this update, but watch this space (on the Roll of Honour
page) and as soon as I do get the information, I'll put it up!
-
You should have seen the invite to
the annual Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony that Eddie emailed out a
couple of days ago, but if not, there's a copy on the News
page - better get your request in quick if you want to go!
November

-
Our featured breeder this month is
Marianne Upham of Yenicizgi Turkish Vans, White Turkish Vans (Vankedisi)
and Turkish Angoras - check out her profile at
Breeders Profiles.
-
The Aristocats cats had a wonderful
time at the Garden of England Show in Swanley on 20/21 October - no less than
FOUR were made up to EC/EP (that I know of - have we missed any? Do
tell us if so!) - check out the Roll of Honour page for
details. And one is particularly special - I'm told that EP
Sicorn Red Robin is the first Cornish Rex to make European Premier - so
special congratulations to Graham & Sandie!!
-
We've had a slight rearrangement of the
breeders' profiles generally - now, if you click on the icon next to a name on the
Breeders' List, you'll be taken straight to that profile, not just to the
profiles page.
