The Aristocats Cat Club
|
 |
Welcome to the Aristocats, a UK all-breed cat club
affiliated to FIFe, with members all over the UK. We are full
members of Felis Britannica, the UK representative of FIFe, and as such
can perform all the administrative functions required by our members, eg
cat registration, litter registration, title validations, etc.
We hope you will enjoy looking
round the site and if you like what you see and agree with our objectives,
you'd be welcome to join us!

What's new on the site:
January 2012
Once again, apologies for the delay
since the last major update - but there is plenty for you to read now!
-
We have a new profile, of Maureen
& Charlotte Murrish of Doubloon British Shorthairs (and many
apologies to them that it took so long to get it up here - they supplied it in
plenty of time for the June update, but unfortunately that didn't happen)
-
The
kittenlist and
breeders list have
been maintained throughout, and there are quite a few new entries on both
-
The
show brags and
roll of honour pages both
have some new entries, one of which is so amazing that ...
-
... it's also on the
news page!
-
We have a new Winners Gallery
- for the Aristocats show at Deeping in June 2011.
-
And we even have the results of the
FB Points Awards 2010 at last, as well!
May 2011
-
Just a minor update this month ...
-
... some
new kittens on the kittenlist ...
-
... a couple of
showbrags ...
-
... a bit of news on the
news page ...
-
... and, of course, a profile for you to read -
Frank & Karin Mandix of Mandix Ocicats are the owners of the cat that
went Overall Best of the Best at the recent Aristocats Show! Read all
about them on the
profiles page!
|
Calling all
Members!
We now have several pages where we invite members to either make
contributions, or just send in details of their cats that have successes
of one sort or another, so if you are a member and have entries for any of
the following, please do tell me
about it/them and see your cat's name up in lights! ...
well, in coloured fonts, anyway!
Roll of honour
- cats that win top titles (EC/SC, EP/SP, DM, DSM, DVM, WW or JW)
FB Points Awards - cats that are
mentioned in the annual winners lists
Show
Brags - cats that have won BIS/BOX at any FIFe show
Members Stories - if you have an
interesting cat-related story to tell - tell us!
And, of course, to all our breeder members - make sure you are listed on
our
Breeders' List
that your available kittens are listed on the Kittens List
and that you've checked out the members benefits page, too! |
April 2011
-
A new profile for you to read - you
can meet Jen Maskell of Kelferron Maine Coons on the
profiles page!
-
A new winners gallery is up,
too - for the show in Ware at the beginning of March! Needless to
say, the full results are not yet available, but by dint of getting someone to
note down the BIS results as they happened for me, and using my own camera to
fill the (remarkably few, this time!) holes where Bob Fox couldn't help, I've
made sure we've got the 'Best In Show' pics up already! Check out the
winners' galleries here!
-
The schedule for the next
Aristocats show, in Market Deeping, is now up on the
Show Info page - hopefully see you all there!
-
The kitten
list and Show Brag pages have also been updated.
January 2011
-
So sorry - again it's been several
months since the last full update (although the
kittenlist and breederslist have been updated
slightly more frequently). I think I've put up everything I've been sent
now, but if I've missed anything, please do send it again, and I'll sort it out.
-
And additionally, my sincere apologies
to Shirley Watkinson - I honestly thought her profile was up on the site
and have only just realised that it isn't! So, this time, Shirley
Watkinson of Leirum Ragdolls is now our new
profile - check it out, it really is this time!
-
Also, we now have ALL the
Aristicats show info for 2010 - show results for
both Tidworth and Lutterworth are there, and winners'
galleries for both of them, both days. There are a few photos missing
for Lutterworth - since I wasn't there if the owners didn't get Bob to take
their pictures (and I haven't been able to find one) they aren't there. If
you can provide pics for any of the missing cats, please, please send them to
me!
September
2010
-
First, congratulations to the
webmasters of the FB site for managing to put up at least a basic list of
the category winners in the FB Points Awards - and we now know the main
winners! So - check out our FB Points Awards page for details of those
Aristocats members' cats that were winners (including the overall winner, of
course!).
-
Since Shirley Watkinson of
Leirum Ragdolls is the proud breeder and owner of Leirum Morganite, the
Overall Winner in the 2009 FB Points Awards, it seemed fitting to ask her to be
the featured breeder this month - so please check out the Profiles
page to read all about her and her cats!
-
Finally - the Winners Galleries
and results for Lutterworth this year - check them out on
the Winners Galleries and Show
Info pages! Sorry it's taken so long!
-
Also, the winners' gallery for
day one of Tidworth - only because Caroline Tipper very kindly took note
of the BIS results as they happened and gave them to me! Unfortunately she wasn't
there on the Sunday afternoon and I haven't been able to get them from anyone
else, so that one will have to wait until the official results are posted
(whenever that is).
August 2010
-
We have a profile, for the first time
for a while! This month's featured breeder is novice Charlotte Harrison,
of Adkelekatts Norwegian Forest Cats - read all about her and her cats on
the Profiles page!
-
Since the last update I have
discovered that the official FB Points Awards database was one of those
damaged in a recent hack of the FB website, making it almost impossible to get
the full results for 2009/10. I can therefore only ask you all to tell me
if your cat was placed in his/her category, and send me details, please - it
looks like we're
not going to find out any other way for some time, if ever! However, you
can check out our Points Awards page now to
see the very beautiful overall winner!
-
This is also mentioned on the
news page - it definitely being news, albeit a bit late!
-
I strongly suspect that the results
for Tidworth this year will have been caught up in the same problem
(although it took nearly a year to get last year's, and they didn't have that
excuse then ...!). However, I do now have the results for Lutterworth
this year, so I shall start putting the winners' galleries together for that
very soon - if you know your cat won a BIS there and you didn't have a photo
done by Bob Fox, please send me a pic I can use instead!
I'm afraid the roll of honour is
still outstanding, and the show brags - but they are definitely in the pipeline
along with the winners galleries for this year, so if one of your cats has
recently achieved a BIS, SC/SP or one of the special titles, please send me
details and it will go in next month's update! Promise!
July 2010
Hope you're sitting down, because
(surprise, surprise!) WE HAVE AN UPDATE!! I know, it's not funny really,
and I'm sorry it's been so long - things have got on top of me a bit recently.
We're not completely up-to-date now, either, I still have a few more bits to do
(roll of honour, Market Harborough and Tidworth 2010 (need some results for both
of those)), but we do have the
following:
-
Kitten list is now up to
date (and has been for a couple of weeks) - please check your listing, and if
you have any more to be added (or if there are any to be removed), please let
me know!
-
Breederlist is also up to
date; new members, if you're not on yet, please let me have your details to be
added!
-
More great news - a new record
has been set by a cat belonging to an Aristocats' member - see the
news page for details!
-
Breeders Profiles - we don't
have a new one yet, but if you are a member and interested in doing one,
please go to Profiles Details and pick up
the list of information we need, then send it in - I'd be delighted to
include it!
-
FB Points Awards - anyone
who has a cat listed in these, please do let me know and send a picture!
I know the overall winner is an Aristocats member and will be putting him on
but he's a bit lonely at the moment - there must be more out there!
April 2010
-
Good news or bad news first?!!
Well, bad news is that the person who was doing the profile for this month was
unable to get it done in time, so there's no profile - sorry about that!
-
However, on the good side - the
winners galleries are up (finally!) for the
Tidworth show last June! Check out the
winners galleries page to see them!
-
We have several new entries on the
roll of honour, too - but very few kittens, so if you have some available do
please let me know
February 2010
-
And this month, everything comes at
once! To start with, a new profile, of May Ellis of Mazpahs
Siamese, Oriental Shorthairs & Bicolours (Seychellois) - read all about her
on the profiles page!
-
Finally, we have the results of the
Tidworth show last June! Check out the show
info page for the full results, and hopefully I'll have the pictures on the
Winners Gallery set up for next month's update!
-
Talking of shows, the schedules,
entry forms and summary sheets for both the planned Aristocats shows this
year are now on the show info page - Market
Harborough in March and Tidworth in June.
-
We also have new
show brags on their page and kittens on the
kitten list.
January 2010
-
Happy New Year, everyone!!
-
The quietest month we've ever had, I
think - no new profile (no-one had time to sit down and write one!), still no Tidworth
results - sigh; no show brags (although there must be some - come on, people,
tell me about them!!), and very little change on the kitten list ...
-
Oh well, nice easy update for me!!
December
2009
-
This month's profile is on Val
Davidson of Riverfern Abyssinians - check out the
profiles page to find out all about her!
-
Still no Tidworth
results - sigh ...
-
There are some updates on the
show brags page, however, and of course on the
kitten list!.
November
2009
-
Finally, this month's profile is of
Ali Ross of Norskwood Norwegian Forest Cats! Sorry, Ali, for
making you wait so long, hope it's worth it! Check out the
profiles page for details.
-
Still no Tidworth
results - not even the winners' galleries - again, next
month maybe ...
-
But we do have a new entry on our
Roll of Honour, and some new
Show Brags (including one from me!)
October
2009
-
I haven't included a profile this
month, because I'm doing it so late it wouldn't be fair to the breeder being
profiled, they'd only get a week on the main page - so I'll put it in next week
with the new update!
-
Still no Tidworth
results - not even the winners' galleries yet (and this isn't my fault,
unlike the late updates!). Again, next
month maybe ...
-
There are some updates elsewhere,
however, and of course lots of kittens available on the
kitten list!
September
2009
-
Back to normal, hopefully! The
profile this month is of Sara Assinder of Celticoon Maine Coons
and as usual you can read all about her and her cats on the
profiles page.
-
Still no Tidworth
results - not even the winners' galleries yet! Again, next
month ...
-
We have, however, got more new
entries on the Show Brags page ...
-
... and again, I hope all you breeders are
now making good use of our free club membership offer
- it's a great benefit for you, your new owners and us (the club) and doesn't
cost you or your new owners a penny! Do check it out, please!
August
2009
-
Yes, it's the British summer holiday month -
and what with vacations and school holidays, I'm afraid there isn't a profile
this month - I couldn't get anyone to hold still long enough to write one!
Hopefully be back to normal next month.
-
Also, for some reason the Tidworth
results are still not available - I haven't even been able to get the BIS
results so we haven't even got the winners' galleries yet! Again, next
month ...
-
We have, however, got some new
entries on the Show Brags page ...
-
... and I hope all you breeders are
now making good use of our membership offer
- it's a great benefit for you, your new owners and us (the club) and doesn't
cost you or your new owners a penny! Do check it out, please!
July
2009
Sorry about the missing June update -
hopefully this one will make up for it, though! Also apologies to all
those who have sent in contributions and had to wait so long to see them online,
especially Tricia
...!
-
This month's featured
breeder profile is Tricia Bristow of Gossamyst Australian
Mists - you can find out all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page! With apologies for making her wait, since she was
supposed to have been up last month!
-
Fabulous news for all
Aristocats breeder members - a great new benefit you can give to all
your kitten buyers, without costing you (or them) a penny! Check
it out here!
-
Finally, we have the full results of the Market Harborough show
to release - check them out here!
Hopefully, the Tidworth show results will follow soon (and a bit
more quickly!) - the winners galleries at least should be here next
month.
-
We've got two new and
relatively rare titles on the Roll of Honour page ...
-
... and the Show Brags page
is proving pretty popular, too - we have several more new entries on
there!
June
2009
May
2009
-
This month's featured
breeder profile is Ross Davies of Burnthwaites Siamese,
Orientals & Seychellois - check him and his cats out on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
We still don't have the full
results of the Market Harborough show to release, but being pretty sure of
the BIS winners we have got the Winners Galleries for you - check
them out starting on the Show Galleries page!
-
We have two new titles on the
Roll of Honour page, and rather unusual ones, at
that!
-
There are several new entries on
the Show Brags page, too!
April
2009
The reason for the delay to
the monthly update was that I was hoping to be able to include the
results of the Aristocats show at Market Harborough, but unfortunately I
haven't been able to get so much as an answer to my messages, let alone
the requested results. I presume there must be a problem but I
can't say what since I haven't the faintest idea! I will of course
include them next month, instead (assuming they're available by then!).
-
Have a look at our
featured breeder profile for this month on the
breeders' profiles page - Eric and
Margaret Moss of Wattswoodkats Maine Coons, owners and
breeders of one of the top winners in the Felis Brtitannica Points
Awards 2008.
-
And talking about the
points awards, check out the Aristocats winners of these (that we
know about), on our FB Points Awards
page!
-
The News
page has been updated ...
-
... we also have new entries
on the Roll of Honour page ...
-
... and there are several on
the Show Brags page, too!
March
2009
-
This month's featured
breeder profile is Denise Burn of Sapphirensteel Siberians,
whose heartwarming story about her girl Annie is featured on the
members page - check her and her cats out on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
There are some more new entries on
the
show brags page, too ...
-
Otherwise it's been a pretty
quiet month!
February
2009
-
This month's featured
breeder profile is Helen
Dunn & Brenda Evans of Elmcoon Maine Coons - check them out on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
We also have some
wonderful news on the Roll of Honour page, so
great that it's on the News page, too! Check them
all out for details!
-
Then there are some new entries on
the
show brags page - and ...
-
For anyone who hasn't seen it
yet, the invitation to the FB Points Awards Dinner is available on our
news page, too - get your request in soon if you want
to go!
January 2009
-
Details of our 2009 shows are
now available on the show info page,
including the schedules and entry forms - make sure you get your entries
in well in time, the first is less than three months away!!
-
There's a new addition on the
show info page, too - a summary sheet that
both you and the entry clerk can use to check you've put everything in
and paid the right fee! Check it out!
-
This month's featured breeder is
Linda Varney, who not only breeds British Shorthairs under the
Pawsawyle name but has a boarding cattery and rescue centre, too -
you can find out all about her and her several hundred cats and other animals on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
We also have new entries on
the roll of honour and
show brags pages! Check them out for details.
December 2008
-
This month's featured breeder is
Nicky Goulter of Shadycombe Siamese, Turkish Vans and Maine Coons -
you can find out all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
-
We also have a new entry on
the roll of honour - a young lad who's become a Junior Winner! Check out the Roll of
Honour page for details - and he's on the
Show Brags page, too!
-
And there's a quick comment
on the News page, which you probably know
already, but if anyone can supply the requested details I'd be grateful!
November 2008
-
This month's featured breeder is
Lynne Geary of Lyndongraey Maine Coons & Siberians - and you can read
all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
We also have a new entry on
the roll of honour - not a new title, but one that's only just been
brought to our attention! Check out the Roll of
Honour page for details!
October 2008
-
Due to a technical hitch the
person who we intended to be this month's featured breeder is now going
to be a future month's feature - and since I didn't realise this was
going to happen until the very last minute, I had to fall back on my
emergency profile - of me! So - this month's featured breeder is
Beryl McMillan of Jehozacat Maine Coons - and you can read
all about me and my cats on the Breeders
Profiles page!
-
Otherwise a very quiet month
- a bit of news about changes in qualifying for the Winners Show on the
News page, and that's about it, I think!
September
2008
-
A couple of new entries on
the Roll of Honour this month - one of them a relatively rare achievement
(and by a very popular cat!)! Go check them out on the
Roll of Honour page!
-
I'll give you a clue - Lynne
Geary's 'Siberian Story' on the Members' stories
page has also been updated!
-
We also have quite a few more
BIS-winning cats on the Show Brags
page - some new, some not so new; do have a peruse!
-
This month's featured breeder is
Ash Molloy of Puddha's Palace Orientals & Seychellois -
you can find out all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
August 2008
-
Remember the heartrending
story of Annie the Siberian, on the
Members' stories page? Well, there's an update on there now -
do go and have a look, it's good news, honestly!
-
Our profile this month is on Anne
Cullen and her Bhanacoyne Maine Coons - check them out on the Breeders
Profiles page.
July 2008
-
Apologies having been made re the
Market Harborough results, they are now back on the show information page -
and have been joined by the results of the Newbury show. Also apologies to Laura Smith, owner
of the lovely Sphynx kitten Baldesque Just a Gigolo, for the fact that we
failed to list him as Best in Category III on the Sunday at Market
Harborough! This has now been corrected.
-
The
Newbury Winners Gallery
has had to be compiled from a combination of previous pictures of the cats by Bob Fox and photos
taken by me during the BIS lineup, since Bob was unfortunately not able to
attend the show at all. This makes it perhaps more susceptible than usual
to possible errors in matching pics to cats, so if you spot a pic that's not the
cat it says it is, please do let me know immediately!
-
Our profile this month is on Jan
Fagg and her Amilynd Devon Rex & Selkirk Rex - check them out on the Breeders
Profiles page.
June 2008
-
Apologies re the results of the
Market Harborough show - they were briefly available here, but FB requested
they were removed while some queries were sorted. However, as soon as we're
given the go ahead to display them they'll be back up here
-
The new Show
Brags page is now up and running - do you have a cat that has won BIS/BOX at
a FIFe show? Tell us about it, send us a pic (preferably one of the end of
show pics Bob Fox does, with the cat and his/her prizes!) and we'll put them in!
-
We have a new, and very moving, story
on the members' stories page; Denise Burn of
Sapphirensteel Siberians tells us all about the recent traumatic events in her
cat Annie's life.
-
This month's featured breeder is
Margaret McCrirrick of Cathmawr Maine Coons, and a committee member
of Aristocats -
you can find out all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
May 2008
-
There's an update to the news release
about the FB Points Awards Winners on the News
page - don't get too excited, like everyone else we're still waiting for the
full list of winners, but we *do* have the other major winners listed along with
the Overall Winner, the gorgeous Taurus Goloubchik.
-
And following on from that, we have a
new page on the site - dedicated to honouring those Aristocats' members' cats
that are winners in the FB Points Awards - they don't have to be the top
ones, but if your cat has made it into the top ten in any of the various
categories/groups (and you know about it yet!), then please do tell me
about it, with a pic, and we'll put your cat up too! This includes the
previous years, too - I'll happily add sections for them if members would like
to see their cats on there!
-
Sheila Beevers of Topmarx
British Shorthairs is our featured breeder this month -
you can find out all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
-
Also, our Apr07 profile on Jane Lord at
Jamcusa has been updated.
April 2008
-
Check out the News
page - we don't have full details of the results of the 2007 Annual Points
Awards yet, but we do know that, the Overall Winner is ... well, you'll just
have to go to the News page and see, won't you?!
Needless to say, if you are the proud owner of a winner in any of the
categories, please do tell me
about it - we'll be happy to include your cat, too!
-
We've a new story on the
Member's Stories page, too - all about Vassiliy the
Siberian, and how he came to be here in England. Don't forget, if you've got a
special story to tell, about a special day, a special cat or just something you
want to tell us, do tell me
about it and I'll put it in!
-
Our featured breeder this month is
Aristocats very own committee member and Show Manager, John Cunningham of
Pr-n-Kmt Abyssinians -
read all about him and his cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
March 2008
-
We have two new EPs on the
Roll of Honour page - not newly gained, but only just
included! They both belong to member Lynne Geary of Lyndongraey -
congratulations on your lovely cats, Lynne!
-
Yet another Aristocats Guide
is released this month; number three, on FIFe Titles & Awards. You'll find it on
the Guides page with the others; hope it's useful!
-
Suzy Slade of Brilthor
Maine Coons is our featured breeder this month -
you can find out all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
February 2008
-
The next Aristocats Guide is
now available - number four, on The EMS Codes. You'll find it on
the Guides page; hope it's useful!
-
Our featured breeders this month are
Graham & Sandie Taberer of Sicorn Cornish Rex, British Shorthairs and
Siamese -
read all about them and their cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
January 2008
-
Please check out the schedule and new entry
form for the Market Harborough show next Spring, available from the
Show Information page! There are going to be
lots of side classes, with cash prizes for those with enough entries (up to
£600 in total!) - so don't forget to enter as many as you can along with
your main entry! Details on the schedule and on our
News page.
-
We've a new story on the
Member's Stories page - a lovely show report
by Margo the Ragdoll, I'm sure you'll love it as I did (and she certainly
deserves to be proud of herself, too)! Don't forget, if you've got a
special story to tell, about a special day, a special cat or just something you
want to tell us, do tell me
about it and I'll put it in!
-
Our featured breeder this month is a
new breeder, Julie Stanton of Rustiblu Birmans & Maine Coons -
read all about her and her cats on the Breeders
Profiles page.
-
We're still waiting for the next
Newest Honouree on the Roll of Honour - I'm still hopeful of getting
the details of our less common one, but if any member has a new European Champion
or European Premier (or DSM, DM, WW or JW!!)
please do tell me about it - with date
of attainment and a picture, of course!
December
2007
-
We have a new page on the site -
The FIFe Show Diary! As many details of the next couple of years'
shows as are known at this time, including which judges will be there and links
to the clubs' sites for further information. Update, May 2008:
unfortunately it proved too difficult to keep this page up to date, so rather
than have an out-of-date page on the site we've had to remove it entirely.
-
Anita Price of NoCoatOn
Sphynx is our featured breeder this month - read all about her and her cats at
Breeders Profiles.
-
Yet another new top title for an
Aristocat cat this month - and one that doesn't happen very
often, too! Unfortunately I didn't get the final details through in time
for this update, but watch this space (on the Roll of Honour
page) and as soon as I do get the information, I'll put it up!
-
You should have seen the invite to
the annual Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony that Eddie emailed out a
couple of days ago, but if not, there's a copy on the News
page - better get your request in quick if you want to go!
November
2007
-
The Aristocats Guides are
here! Or at least, the first one is, on the FIFe show day - more will
follow. Check out
Our Guides for more information.
-
Our featured breeder this month is
Marianne Upham of Yenicizgi Turkish Vans, White Turkish Vans (Vankedisi)
and Turkish Angoras - check out her profile at
Breeders Profiles.
-
The Aristocats cats had a wonderful
time at the Garden of England Show in Swanley on 20/21 October - no less than
FOUR were made up to EC/EP (that I know of - have we missed any? Do
tell us if so!) - check out the Roll of Honour page for
details. And one is particularly special - I'm told that EP
Sicorn Red Robin is the first Cornish Rex to make European Premier - so
special congratulations to Graham & Sandie!!
-
We've had a slight rearrangement of the
breeders' profiles generally - now, if you click on the icon next to a name on the
Breeders' List, you'll be taken straight to that profile, not just to the
profiles page.
October
2007
-
Our featured breeder this month is
Mary-Rose Douglas of Vieuxtemps Norwegian Forest Cats - check out her
profile at
Breeders Profiles.
-
The initial Winners List is
out! If your cat has qualified for the Winners' Show this year (s)he
should be on it - check out the News page for details.
-
Also on the News
page, a new newsletter.
September
2007
-
Don't forget to check out our
Breeders Profiles - our featured breeder this month is Mary Stuart of
Rumtumtugger Maine Coons & Australian Mists.
-
You've all replied to the club's
email about shows and what to do to improve matters, yes? If not, please
do so as soon as possible - it's important to all of us! If you didn't
receive it, drop Eddie a note and I'm sure he'll be happy to resend you a
another copy!
