Registrations and Validations

Please read the following rules before clicking on the link to the form.  Thank you.

Registration Application Form

Rules of Registration

  1. Registering Club

You must be a Full Member of a Felis Britannica Full Member club in order to use Felis Britannica’s registration services in which to process your registrations – all registration applications must be sent to that club. Enter the membership number you hold with the club that will process your registrations.

  2. Cattery Name

The cattery name used must be that of the owner of the dam at the time of mating. If you do not have a FIFe registered cattery name, a Felis Britannica admin prefix will be used. A jointly owned cattery name may only be used when the dam is also jointly owned.

  3. Mating Certificate

A mating certificate signed by the stud owner is required for all registrations where the owner of the dam does not also own the stud, or where the stud is not registered with Felis Britannica.

  4. Certificate of Entirety

A Certificate of Entirety is required for all un-neutered males over 10 months of age before their offspring can be registered.

A Certificate of Entirety must always be sent with a litter registration if the sire is not registered with Felis Britannica.

  5. Certificate of Hearing

A Certificate of Hearing is required for all solid white cats and kittens before they can be shown or their offspring registered.

  6. Certified Pedigree

An original certified pedigree is required when importing a cat or kitten from any other registry to Felis Britannica.

An original certified pedigree for the sire must always be sent with a litter registration if the sire is not registered with Felis Britannica.

  7. Transfer of Ownership

If you are importing a cat to Felis Britannica from any other registry you must provide a transfer of ownership document from the original registry.

  8. Litter Registration Fees

The fee of either £5 or £7.50 (depending on whether one or both parents are Felis Britannica registered) is a charge for a whole litter, whether declared only or fully registered. However, if the kittens are fully registered then the breeder must also select either a 4 or 5 generation pedigree and pay the appropriate fee for each kitten.

eg To declare a litter of 4 kittens, where only the dam is registered with Felis Britannica, you will pay £7.50. To fully register a litter of 4 kittens, where both the sire and dam are registered with Felis Britannica, and specify 4 generation pedigrees, you will pay £5.00 plus (4 x £7.50) for a total of £35.00.

  9. Breeder

The breeder is the owner of the dam at the time of mating.

  10. Name of Cat or Kitten

The name of the cat or kitten, including the cattery name (prefix or suffix) must not exceed 35 characters including spaces.

  11. Breed, Colour and Pattern

This must be specified for every kitten in a litter and must match the EMS code. For cats being imported from another registry, these are the details as given on the original registration.

  12. Restricted

Tick this box if you do not wish the kitten to be used for breeding. A kitten with a restricted parent or parents is not eligible for registration. Restrictions may only be lifted by the breeder.

  13. Declarations

Any or all of a litter may be declared only by filling in all details except the name of the kitten.

A kitten that has previously been declared may be subsequently registered by either the breeder or the new owner. If subsequently registered by the breeder the kitten will bear the breeders cattery name and may or may not be restricted as the breeder wishes. If subsequently registered by the new owner the kitten will bear a Felis Britannica admin prefix and will be restricted.

  14. Fees for Imports from Cat Association of Britain

The import fee for a cat previously registered with the C.A. was held at £2.50 until 31st May 2004 after which time it is now treated as any other FIFe member import and charged at £5.00.
