The Aristocats Club Newsletter

Issue Extra

September 30th 2007

Hello Everybody!

I have got some results and I hope good news from our recent Survey.

First I would like to thank everybody for your input into the survey, producing ideas that I believe will help us produce some really successful shows in 2008.

  • We have decided to put on not one but two, 2-day shows next year but in order to do so we are really going to ask for help from our members, this should provide fun as well as interest for our members. We have arranged to have one two day show June 7th and June 8th 2008 at Newbury,

  • We have also got the option of putting on a second two day show April 26th and April 27th 2008 somewhere between Birmingham and Manchester, so if this is going to go ahead we need our members to help us find somewhere, we need a hall approx 30m x 30m and we need the cost to be £35 - £40 per hour or thereabouts.

  • We are in the process of producing an ‘how to show with FIFe’ leaflet

  • We are looking at producing a new pricing structure for entries, any serious suggestions regarding this will be looked at closely.

  • We are going to be the club that spearheads Cat-agility at shows in FB, but unlike at TICA it will be organised properly. Cats and their owners will be trained by professionals before they are let loose on the public. This will be advertised extensively and should encourage more public to visit the shows.

  • We have a member that is more than happy to organise a cake stall, so all you budding pastry chefs who are willing to bake a few cakes I will put you in touch with that member.

  • We will be asking for concrete commitment from exhibitors to enter our shows and how many cats, but we won’t be asking for any money, Deposits can be paid in advance and the entry fee reduced accordingly.

  • Any donations to the club will be gratefully received

  • Is there anyone out there that can organise a face painter for children? Or a quick-sketcher to produce charcoal and chalk drawings?

  • A raffle organiser would be nice.

  • Could you sponsor a Best in Show trophy?

What Do We Need From You?

  1. We need you to find us a venue

  2. We need volunteers willing to be trained in cat-agility and details of the cat/s they have in mind

  3. We need help in all the above and more, if you have any skills or further ideas that you feel may be useful please let me know.

If you can let me know your responses as soon as possible I would be grateful, I want the Aristocats Club to be known as the club that listens to its members and holds shows that everybody enjoys.

Regards
Eddie
