The Aristocats Club Newsletter
Hello All!
For the purpose of this issue it is set out once again in text format
but hopefully for future issues the job of editing and producing the
Newsletter will be passed on to a willing volunteer
Membership
The Aristocats Clubs membership is building up nicely. We have had nearly 100
members join in the first six months, this has resulted in increasing your clubs
votes to 3 in the 'right to vote' formula at the Felis Britannica Annual General
Assembly. In order for us to reach the next level (4 votes) we need to have a
membership of 150 plus, based on the membership rate to date, this is more than
achievable by the end of the year so give yourselves a pat on the back and keep
spreading the word and if you have any friends that you think may like to join,
let them know about us.
Registrations
Our members registrations and validations are being given a really quick
turn-around by Rose our Pedigree checker. All have been checked and sent to
Felis Britannica's registration department to process on the central data base,
and produce the new pedigrees. Felis Britannica is doing a marvellous job when
you consider the mistakes that were made on the pedigrees and the corrections
that have resulted, also the backlog and build-up that was left after the demise
of the CA.
Aristocats Club Shows
We had our first show this year at Thornbury Bristol. The feedback I received
was all extremely positive, everybody enjoyed themselves and no major hiccups.
There were 170 cats entered which is a very respectable entry. Our next show is
to be held at the Five Rivers Leisure Centre, Salisbury on October 31st 2004 so
we are looking forward to another good show there. The first ever FIFe cat show
to be held in Salisbury so we are looking for a good turn-out. It is Halloween
so we are holding a ‘Black Cat Special’, if you have a black cat make sure you
enter it. If there are any members who would like to volunteer their help in
this show, it would be received with gratitude. We desperately need people to be
involved in stewarding, we also need someone to sell the raffle tickets and
someone on the gate, help with the secretariat etc.
