The Aristocats Club Newsletter
Hello All!
For the purpose of this issue it is set out once again in text format
but hopefully for future issues the job of editing and producing the
Newsletter will be passed on to a willing volunteer
Membership
The Aristocats Clubs membership is building up nicely. We have had nearly 150
members join in the last eighteen months, when reached this will result in
increasing your clubs votes to 4 in the 'right to vote' formula at the Felis
Britannica Annual General Assembly. In order for us to reach the next level (5
votes) we need to have a membership of 250 plus, based on the membership rate to
date, this is more than achievable by the end of the year so give yourselves a
pat on the back and keep spreading the word and if you have any friends that you
think may like to join, let them know about us.
Registrations
Congratulations must go to Rose who passed her Registrars exam earlier this
year. This means that she has now joined the two other official Club Registrars
in FB, Penny Bydlinski and Neil Gardner. Well done Rose. This also means of
course that the Aristocats Club have also joined the Garden of England Cat Club
and the Viking Cat Club being the only clubs entitled to retain their part of
the registration charges that had previously been claimed by FB.
Aristocats Club Shows
I hope everybody is enjoying the shows that the Aristocats Club are putting
on, each one is having different hiccups behind the scenes, but it is a learning
curve and I am certainly learning as we go along. Our first show at Thornbury,
Bristol was amazing, the first show ever and we had 170 entries. Our next show
at Salisbury was even more amazing 210 entries the highest entry so far in an FB
show. The last show in Bognor Regis I have to admit was badly dated, there were
so many other shows happening around that date it was bound to bring the entry
level down, so much so that at one stage I had to make an appeal for more
entries in order that we didn’t have to ask for dispensation from FIFe. The
minimum number of entries for an International Show is 150. But thanks to you
all that came through, we actually reached 158. The next show will be held once
again at Thornbury Sunday July17th 2005
The Judges are:
- Per Hilfling Oleson from Denmark, All Breed
- Yan Rocha-Folch from France, Categories I and II
- Ulrika Olesson from Sweden, Category II
- Penny Bydlinski from Great Britain, Categories I, II and III
- Kristina Rautio from Finland, Categories I, II and IV.
A thought has occurred to me, we have 150 members, one cat entered from each
member would ensure that we wouldn’t have to worry about whether we needed
dispensation or not.
A copy entry form and schedule is enclosed. DON’T MISS OUT ON THE SPECIAL
MEMBERS RATES.
